This restaurant was very nice, with a cool atmosphere, but had some drawbacks that I was unable to ignore.
Pros:
Average prices - entrees averaging around $20
Good main entrees - all of the main courses that were ordered in our group were solid, including the fish and chips; buffalo chicken sandwich, and the steak and cheese sandwich
Great atmosphere - great decorations inside, was a super fun place
Cons:
Self seating - could also be a pro, but was a con as we were unable to find a seat for roughly 45 minutes
Side dishes - I mean frankly I was in shock when I received my side of ‘chips’ as lays potato chips that were still in the bag. For an $18 sandwich and chips, it is unacceptable that they couldn’t have even been taken out of the bag.
Great atmosphere and even better service! We are on vacation here from Tampa, Florida. Perfect spot for a quick family meal and honestly overall food was great! To be fair I was starving bc we were skiing all day…. But the cheeseburger was literally one of the best burgers I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. Fries were just okay but the waitress did tell us they were out of their normal fries (which according to her were much better). Pretzel sticks were so fresh and hot and the beer cheese was great. Kids loved the burgers too! Planning to come back to Big sky every year and this will definitely be a routine lunch/dinner spot for us!
I recently visited this bar in Big Sky, Montana, and I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with rustic decor and a warm fireplace. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had a great experience.
The drinks were top-notch, and they had a fantastic selection of local craft beers and signature cocktails. I particularly enjoyed their Old Fashioned—it was expertly crafted. The bar snacks were delicious, especially the burgers.
The highlight of the evening was the live music performance. The band created a fantastic vibe, and everyone was dancing and having a great time. The combination of good drinks, great music, and friendly staff made it a memorable night. I'll definitely be returning on my next trip to Big Sky!
This place is perfect for groups or causal date night after hitting the slopes. We went there after dinner for a good time. Love the decor, they have one pool table and 2 shuffle tables. We did not eat there so I don’t know about the food.
Everything at Tips has improved significantly! Isabell provided excellent service and was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the menu. Forrest is also an amazing bartender and knows how to manage the bar and keep the guests very happy! Shout out to the Tips entire staff for their hard work!
